WEDDING MUSIC IN THE PROGRAM
PART 3 of 3

You're almost done. Once you've decided on the music you want, the last thing you need to do is make sure you spell each selection correctly. It is not necessary to list pieces that are played prior to the service. This can be a period of time where the musicians play music appropriate to the number of people seated and how timely the actual service starts. There are two exceptions: a vocal solo is usually special music that is listed and if there is a song for the seating of the mothers, this is also listed.

Here is the way the bridesmaid procession listing would look:

Bridesmaid Processional
Title of Piece, Composer
(or as an example)
Canon, J. Pachelbel

BE CAREFUL OF THESE MISTAKES
Pachelbel's Canon (composer name should go after the selection)
or
Canon, Paco Bell (check for correct spelling)

Use the same pattern for listing other music, with name of piece, followed by composer's name. It is okay to use an initial for the first name.

Below are a couple of program samples showing how other brides have listed their music. Click each sample to see a larger version.

That's All. You're done.

The hardest part of choosing your wedding music is over. And it was as simple as Wedding Music 101.
